Hi, I’m Miss M, a twenty-something teacher in an urban school. I teach young children with hearing impairments at a school where the goal is for them to use sign and speech to learn and communicate (also known as Total Communication).
I absolutely love teaching, working with children and learning… as a result, I’ve decided to return for another year. I plan to use this blog as a way to document and share my experiences. Maybe other teachers will read to find someone to relate to or maybe they will find some new ideas that they will incorporate into their own classrooms. Non-teachers may read to gain insight as to what teaching really entails or just to have a laugh (and an occasional eyeroll) at what really goes on inside the classroom. Either way… enjoy.
